"Sis" Rose, 74, of the 2500 block of Maltby Ave., a retired presser, died Feb. 27, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital of natural causes. She was born in Ivor, Va., daughter of the late Martha Anne Rose and Allen Rose. She was retired from Lerner Department Store after 25 years and was a former member of First Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk. Survivors include a daughter, Freda L. Andrade; a son, Joseph H. Rose; a sister, Lula E. Rose of Norfolk; a brother, Joseph H. Rose of Norfolk; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Esther R. Griffin and a brother, Orlando Rose. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hale Funeral Home by Eldress Clarice Cooper. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
