SAN FRANCISCO – Mary Lydia Boggs Ross, 95, died May 17 in a San Francisco 
hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk, Va., and a former schoolteacher in this area. She was 
a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk, and the widow of John W. Ross.
Survivors include two sons, John W. Ross Jr. of Millbrae, Calif., and Thomas R. 
Ross of Ashland, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorial 
donations may be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
