Virginian Pilot July 17, 1973

William Rossano, 61, of 5253 Pleasant Hall Court, a retired employe of Norfolk 
Naval Shipyard Shop 5, died Monday in a hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Rocco and Mrs. Antoinette Rossano. 
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Delores Ann Cordle of Virginia Beach; three 
sisters, Mrs. Rose Barkley, Mrs. Marie Gearhart and Mrs. Josephine Russo of 
Norfolk; a brother, Arthur Rossano of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; and a 
great-grandchild.
The Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 in H.D Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

ROSSANO, WILLIAM JOSEPH - At a Virginia Beach hospital, Monday, July 16, 1973, 
WILLIAM JOSEPH ROSSANO, son of the late Rocco and Mrs. Antoinette Rossano, in 
the 62nd year of his age. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated today at 10 a.m. in 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. H. D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, has charge. Friends of the family are 
invited to attend.
