PAHRUMP, Nev. - Mrs. Phyllis C. Rotan, the widow of Cecil L. Rotan and a native 
of Norfolk, died Sept. 6 in Las Vegas.
She was a daughter of Joseph P. and Mrs. Hattie Crowell of Norfolk. She was a 
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bernadette Walker of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Phyllis B. Shepphard of Panama; a son, Anthony L. Rotan of Norfolk; two 
sisters, Mrs. Marguerite C. Hall of Chesapeake, Va., and Mrs. Willie A. Ferguson 
of Virginia Beach; two brothers, James L. Brown of Norfolk and Joseph L. Crowell 
of Portsmouth, Va.; and two grandchildren.
The body was sent to Community Funeral Home in Norfolk. The family will be at 
her parents’ home, 1223 W. 40th St., in Norfolk.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Quinlan. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery, Norfolk.
