Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Sunday, September 23, 1928


Richard Douglas Roughton, aged 3, died at the residence of his parents, W.C. 
and Mrs. Ida Dalton Roughton, 7 Kensington Court Apartments, Thirty-Forth 
Street, yesterday morning at 1:35 o’clock, after an illness of three weeks. 
He is survived in addition to his parents by a brother, William David 
Roughton.
The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., 631 Westover 
Avenue, where funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4 
o’clock. The Rev. H.P. Clark, pastor of Park Place Methodist Church, and the 
Rev. R.M. White, pastor of Ghent Methodist Church, will officiate. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
