She was nineteen years of age. The funeral was held from the Bank St., Baptist Church, Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. with Rev. O. W. Watkins officiating, assisted by Rev. Fuller. Interment took place in Calvary. Honorary pall bearers were Misses Beatrice Hall, Lottie Scott, Dorothy Helms, Lucille Lane, Mary Scott and Ethel Diggs. The active pall bearers were Ernest McCoy, Bernard Bowser, Llewellyn Grant, Purvis Huntley, Wilford Gourdine and William Gibbs. The deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Rountree, her brothers, Vernon, and Arthur of New York City; her sisters, Misses Vernice and Viola Rountree of Brooklyn.
