Norfolk - Final rites were conducted Sunday for Mrs. Julia Rowe, 56, of 2553
Stowe street, in Fitchett Funeral Home with the Rev. J. H. Howell officiating. 
Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

A native of Halifax, NC, she was a daughter of the late John Finner and Mrs.
Jane Finner and widow of Fred Rowe.  She died Aug. 5 in her home after a short
illness.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by four sons, Willis Smith of Chesapeake, William Smith of
Norfolk, Bennie Smith of California and Harry Smith of New Jersey;  a daughter,
Miss Maggie Smith of Chesapeake;  two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Hornsby of Baltimore
and Mrs. Maggie White of Richmond;  and three brothers, Johnnie Turner, Jimmie
Turner and Harrison Turner of Weldon, NC.
