Virginian Pilot December 29, 1962


Norfolk-Mrs. Beulah Stone Rowland, 71, of 7941 Granby St., died Friday at 6:30 
p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
She was the widow of Thomas H. Rowland and a daughter of Peter W. and Mrs. 
Delilah Foreman Stone.
She was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and was a member of Wesley Memorial 
Methodist Church, Women of the Moose Chapter 157, and Pythian Sisters, 
Viewpoint Temple 18.
Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. Elva L. Bass, Mrs. Louise E. Pittman and Mrs. 
Catherine Calhoun of Norfolk; and two nephews, James W. Edwards of Petersburg 
and Robert F. Edwards of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home by the Rev. C. Traynham Topping of Wesley Memorial Methodist 
Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
