The Virginian Pilot Thursday June 1, 1961
Louis Royal, 45, of 1015 Wood St. died Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. in a Norfolk 
hospital after a short illness.
He was a son of the late Edward and Mrs. Fannie Royal. A native of 
Portsmouth, he lived in Norfolk 10 years and was a self-employed building 
contractor.
Surviving is one niece, Miss Annie Mae Royal of Portsmouth.
The body was taken to Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in 
Antioch Baptist Church Sunday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. J.W. Matthews, pastor. 
Burial will be in Mt Olive Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 
9 a.m.
