Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - April 28, 1992

Sallie A. Rucker, 82, of the 100 block of W. 30th St., a retired domestic 
worker, died April 25, 1992, in a hospital.
Mrs. Rucker was born in Lynchburg, S.C. She was the widow of James Rucker 
and was a member of First Baptist Church Lamberts Point.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Parham, and a son, Eugene Smith, both 
of Norfolk; a sister, Estelle Murphy of Lynchburg; a brother, Jorome Hudson 
of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at noon Wednesday in First Baptist Church Lamberts 
Point. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the 
family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Twilight Funeral Home and will assemble at 
531 Ruffner St. at 11 a.m. Wednesday for the procession.
