Norfolk Landmark, 25 Nov 1883

DEATHS - RUDD - At her late residence in Berkley, Va., on Saturday, November 
24th, after a painful and protracted illness, which she bore with much 
submission and Christian fortitude, Mrs. MARY RUDD, in the 71st year of her 
age. 

Her funeral will take place from the Chestnut-street (M.E.) church, Berkley, 
MONDAY, November 26th, at 2 'clock p.m. Friends of the deceased and those of 
her son, Rev. Charles W. Pettit, are respectfully invited to attend without 
further notice."
