A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving, besides his wife, are five sons, Alvin Ray Rudd, William S. Rudd and Charles E. Rudd, all of California; Frank M. Rudd, of Philadelphia, and Walter S. Rudd, of Lynchburg; three daughters, Mrs. E.A. Crump, Mrs. L.W. Kitchens and Miss Rose Rudd, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Willie S. Rudd, of Norfolk, and Frank Rudd, of New York, and seven grandchildren. The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral services will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
