W.S. and Edward Rudd, of this place, received a telegram yesterday announcing the death of their brother, Thomas Rudd, which occurred in Richmond, Va. The brothers will leave this morning for the capital city to bring the remains here for burial. The deceased was a Confederate soldier, and lost a leg at the Battle of Gettysburg. The funeral will take place from the residence of W.S. Rudd Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. *************************************************************************** Funeral of Thomas Rudd Occurs This Afternoon The funeral of the late Thomas Rudd, who died in Richmond, Va., will take place at the home of his brother, W.S. Rudd, 304 Chestnut street, this afternoon at 4 o'clock and the interment will be made in Magnolia Cemetery. The funeral was to have taken place yesterday afternoon, but the time was changed.
