S. Rudd Mrs. Sarah Virginia Rudd, widow of W.S. Rudd, died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock at the residence of her son W. Stockton Rudd, 108 Thirty-third street, after a lingering illness. She was a native of Norfolk, and had lived here all her life. She was the daughter of the late John and Mrs. Susan Moore Pettit. Mrs. Rudd was one of the oldest members of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, being held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. She is survived by the following children: Charles E. Rudd, W. Stockton Rudd and Walter S. Rudd, of Norfolk and Frank M. Rudd, of Baltimore; a brother, R.W. Pettit, of this city and a sister, Mrs. Sue VanDeventer, of Baltimore. The funeral will be conducted at the above residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. R. D. Stephenson, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
