Virginian Pilot Monday April 20, 1959
Mrs. Veola Butt Ruddick, 59, did in a Norfolk hospital Sunday at 3:40 a.m.
She was a native of London Bridge and had lived in Norfolk for the past 43 
years, residing at 2934 Cape Henry Ave.
Mrs. Ruddick was a member of the Little Neck Methodist Church.  She was the 
widow of William L. Ruddick Sr.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Audrey B. Peregoy, Jacksonville, N.C.; four 
sons, R.R. Ruddick, W.L. Ruddick Jr., E.R. Ruddick and L.L. Ruddick, all of 
Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Dyson, Norfolk and Mrs. Leona Raymo, 
Syracuse, N.Y.; one brother, H.W. Butt, Roanoke; six grandchildren and one 
nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home 
Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
