Norfolk Ledger Dispatch September 9, 1940

RUDOLPH, JOSEPH JOHN - At a local hospital, Sunday, September 8, 1940, at 11:25 
o’clock p.m., JOSEPH JOHN, husband of Mrs. Kathleen Caton Rudolph, and son of 
the late William B. and Mrs. Marguerite Holly Rudolph, aged 46 years. Remains 
will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial 
avenue, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services TUESDAY MORNING at 10 
o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.

Joseph John Rudolph, aged 46, husband of Mrs. Kathleen Caton Rudolph and son of 
the late William B. and Mrs. Marguerite Holly Rudolph, a native and lifelong 
resident of Norfolk, died at 11:25 o'clock Sunday night at a local hospital. He 
was a member of Norfolk Council No. 367, Knights of Columbus. Surviving him are 
his wife, one daughter, Mary Kathleen Rudolph; one son, Joseph George Rudolph; 
one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Lockwood; one brother, William B. Rudolph and a 
number of nieces and nephews..
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
Avenue to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services this morning at 10 o'clock. 
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
