PETERSHAM - Evelyn B. (Huffman) Rue, 79, of 17 Common St., died Saturday, Nov. 
20, in Athol Memorial Hospital. Her husband of 55 years, Charles V. Rue, died 
May 9. She leaves two sons, Charles V. Rue Jr. of Athens, Ohio, and Larry Rue 
of Petersham. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of Clyde and Etta 
(Crawford) Huffman, and later lived in Raleigh, N.C. She then lived in State 
College, Pa.; Canada; Tiffin, Ohio; and Trevose, Pa. She lived 27 years in 
Petersham. She graduated from a high school and Meredith College, both in 
Raleigh, N.C. She was a member of Margery Morton Chapter, Daughters of the 
American Revolution, in Athol. A graveside service will be held Friday, Nov. 
26, in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk , Va. A local calling hour is 7 to 8 p.m. 
Tuesday, Nov. 23, in Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol. In lieu of 
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Save Our Hospital Fund, 
Athol Memorial Hospital, 2033 Main St., Athol, MA 01331.
