Funeral services for Vernell Ruffin, 5, were held at Hale Funeral home Tuesday, 
May 19, by the Rev. P. P. Eaton of National Baptist Church.  She died Thursday, 
May 14, in a New York hospital following a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, and daughter of Milton and Mrs. Sarah Ruffin, formerly of 
623 E. Princess Anne road, she lived at 293 W. 127th street, New York City.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Milton Ruffin Jr., and 
a sister, Phyllis Ruffin.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
