NORFOLK - Elmer Austin Rumfelt, 87, of 823 Spottswood Ave., died Sunday in a 
hospital.
A native of Dent County, Mo., he was the husband of the late Margaret Ethel 
Prince Rumfelt and retired from the Internal Revenue Service.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Heber B. Lilley and Mrs. Robert E. 
Fellowes, both of Virginia Beach, Mrs. John M. Tierney of McLean and Mrs. Earl 
A. Clark of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lewis of Harden, Mont., and Mrs. 
Virginia McManus of California; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 
several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends 
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl A. Clark, 1143 Manchester Ave., Norfolk.
