Mrs. Runaldue was a native of Norfolk and a resident of Hampton Roads for all her life. She was the daughter of the late George Nickolas Fotinos and Mary Fotinos Lamastra and was preceded in death by her brother, Nickolas George Fotinos and her dear friend, Robert Stafford. She was a graduate of Maury High School, Class of 1949, and attended Mary Washington College. Mrs. Runaldue owned and operated Taussig Blvd. Motors during the 1960s and early 1970s. She was a realtor, first employed with Woodard Realty, E.W. Harris Realty and most recently with William E. Wood and Associates Realty. Among her many accomplishments, she was the past vice president and eight year director of the Norfolk/Chesapeake Board of Realtors and its former membership committee chairman. She was also a member of its Joint Professional Standards Committee and was chairman of Private Property Week. She was a member and former 1983 vice president of the Tidewater Board of Realtors and was a member of its Public Relations, Plats, Awards, Programs and Entertainment, Make America Better, Professional Standards and Library committees. She was a member and 1983 chairman of the MAB Committee and was a former state director. She was a member of its Equal Opportunity, VAR History Committees and was the Realtor Member of Governor Robb's Ad Hoc Committee on Substance Abuse. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors and received its President's Honor Board Award for the state of Virginia. She was the president of the Women's Council of Realtors and was the 1975, 1983 and 1995 Realtor Salesperson of the Year for the Tidewater Board and the first female salesperson of the year, in 1977, for the state of Virginia. She was the first recipient of the 20-year Emerald Award and also the first recipient of the Pearl Award at 25 years. She received the first Founders Award offered through William E. Wood and Associates. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Norfolk for over 40 years and was a former member of its Stewardship Committee. She was a team captain with the United Way and was past chairman for the Mothers March of Dimes. She was an active member of the Chesapeake Beach Civic League. She was an avid duplicate bridge player. Survivors include her loving daughters, Mary Anne Copeland, and her husband, Andy, of Richmond, Susan R. Brown, and her husband, Bob, Cindy D. Runaldue, Tracy R. Miller, and her husband, Timmy, Ali L. Runaldue, Nikki R. Webb, and her husband, Stephen, all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mary DiTucci, and her husband, Anthony, of Toms River, N.J.; a brother, Tony Fotinos, of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister-in-law, Chris Fotinos, of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren, Alex Copeland, Annie Miller and Stephania and Nickolas Webb and many other loving relatives. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at St. Pius X Catholic Church by the Rev. R. Francis Muench. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. She loved and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a "Mother" to many and knew no strangers. Her wisdom and generosity were never-ending. She will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the Mass and following the Mass for a dinner reception in the church hall. H.D.
