Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday January 14, 1952
Miss Martha P. Rush died at her residence, Alanton, London Bridge, yesterday 
following a long illness.
A native of Washington County, she had been a resident of this section for the 
greater part of the past 52 years.  She was a daughter of the late David O. and 
Mrs. Virginia C. Duff Rush.  Miss Rush was a member of the First Presbyterian 
Church.
She is survived by three brothers, John D. Rush, of London Bridge; Charles G. 
Rush, of Norfolk, and Frank D. Rush, of San Diego, Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 3 p.m. 
by the Rev. Edward H. Jones, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.  Burial 
will be in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
