He was a resident of Norfolk and was greatly esteemed for his many sterling traits of character. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Lelia M. Russ; a mother, Mrs. Ann Eliza Russ; two brothers, I.D. and W.C. Russ; five sisters, Mrs. S.M. Sanderlin, Mrs. R.R. Lord, Mrs. G.S. Sanderlin, Miss Selitia and Miss Jessie B. Russ, all of Norfolk. Mr. Russ was an Odd Fellow. The funeral will be held at the residence, 16 Rowland Avenue, at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The service will be conducted by Rev. J. Truman Anderson of Park Avemue Baptist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
