The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday November 26, 1949
Miss Alice Amelia Russell, 79, of 1819 Willoughby Avenue, died in a Norfolk 
hospital Friday at 8:30 a.m., after an illness of several months. She was the 
daughter of William P. and Esther R. Russell and a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
Surviving are four nieces Mrs. T.E. Bonneville and Mrs. A.B. Bell, both of 
Norfolk; Mrs. Lottie Dunning, of Huntington, W.Va., and Mrs. Lottie Murphy, of 
Oakland, Calif.; four nephews, O. W. Pebworth, Norfolk County; M.M. Pebworth, 
San Francisco, Calif., John Russell, Pasadena, Calif., and M.R. Russell, 
Philadelphia.
Funeral services will be conducted in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel Sunday 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
