Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday October 9, 1946
Mrs. Lillian Taylor Russell, 62, wife of Walter R. Russell, station master 
at the Norfolk Terminal Station, died at a local hospital yesterday at 12:30 
p.m. after a short illness.
A daughter of Claude and Alice McHorney Taylor, she was a lifelong resident 
of Norfolk, living at 1311 East Brambleton Avenue, and was a member of the 
Brambleton Avenue Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Gray; a son, 
Claudius B. Russell; and a brother, R.V. Taylor, all of Norfolk, and three 
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted in the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel 
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. Carlos O. Gardner, pastor of 
Brambleton Avenue Methodist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
