Norfolk - Funeral services were held for Willie Russell, 65, of 519 Mahone 
avenue Tuesday in St. John’s AME Church with the Rev. W. L. Hildebrand 
officiating.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in 
charge.

He was a son of William T. and Mrs. Penny J. Russell and a member of St. 
John’s AME Church.  Mr. Russell operated a cab company for 11 years and was 
a retired Norfolk Naval Station truck driver.  He died March 12 in a local 
hospital.

He is survived by four brothers, Allee P. Russell of Washington, Lorenzo H. 
Russell of Norfolk, William T. Russell Jr. and Roland E. Russell of Virginia 
Beach;  and a sister, Mrs. Inez H. Ross of Philadelphia.
