Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday December 27, 1946
Alonza L. Russell died Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital after a short 
illness.  A lifetime resident of Norfolk, he has made his home with his 
daughter, Mrs. Mary Lee Dauley, of 139 Miltate Avenue, Fox Hall.
In addition to his daughter, he is survived by four step-sons, B.T. Bateman, 
J.B. Morse, J.P. Morse and F.E. Morse; one step-daughter, Mrs. G.W. Bossuot; 
two sisters, Mrs. C.J. Capps and Mrs. N.C. Powers.
Funeral services will take place today at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Fred A. 
Bobbitt, pastor of Park Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will be 
in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery.
