Norfolk - Clarence (Jim Kitty) Russell of 952 Virginia Beach Boulevard,     
former owner and operator of Russell’s Grill at 816 Church street, for more than 
30 years, died Sunday in a hospital after a long illness.

The Norfolk native will receive funeral rites Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church and will be buried in West Point Cemetery.  Officiating at the 
service will be the Rev. Harold Gregory.  A rosary service will be held Friday 
at 8 p.m. in Riddick Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Russell was the husband of Mrs. Juanita Russell and a son of the late Thomas 
Russell and Mrs. Amanda Russell.

Also surviving are a foster son, Herbert A. Williams, and a nephew, Melvin 
Perkins, both of Norfolk.
