Virginian-Pilot, February 19 & 20, 1907
On Sunday, February 17, 1907, at 10 o'clock p.m. May Battley Russell, in the 
39th year of her age.
Remains will be taken from the residence of her brother, George W. Battley, No. 
107 Redgate Avenue, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services this (Tuesday) 
morning at 9 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. May Battley Russel was held from St. Mary's Catholic Church 
at 10 o'clock a.m. yesterday. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father John 
Doherty, pastor of the church. The interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, and 
the pallbearers were as follows: O. J. Egerton, T. J. Carey, W. T. Murphy, M. 
T. Friary, C. H. Spann, C. L. Wright, T. W. Staylor, H. L. Myers and W. N. Neustead
Neustead.
