The Norfolk Virginian, January 29, 1896

The funeral of William B. Russell, who died at the residence of his mother, 
Mrs. Mary E. Russell, No. 29 Clay Street, Sunday afternoon, took place 
yesterday morning at 10:30 o’clock from his late home. A very large attendance 
of the many friends of the deceased were present and the floral offerings were 
very handsome. The services were conducted by Rev. J.W. Moore pastor of the 
Queen Street M.E. Church and interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
