Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 31, 1945

Walter Raleigh Russell, III, aged 12, died last night at 9 o'clock at the home 
of his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter R. Russell, II, at 1307 East 
Brambleton Avenue, after a short illness. He was the son of Claudius B. and 
Ethel Jones Russell and a lifelong resident of Norfolk. 
Besides his parents and paternal grandparents, he is survived by his maternal 
grandmother, Mrs. Edmonie Jones, of Norfolk and a number aunts and uncles.
The body was taken to the funeral chapel of James V. Derry.

Walter Raleigh Russell III - Funeral services for the 12-year-old son of 
Claudius B. and Ethel Jones Russell who died late Tuesday will be conducted this 
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the funeral chapel of James V. Derry by the Rev. 
Carlos O. Gardner, pastor of the Brambleton Avenue Methodist Church. Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
