Virginian Pilot January 3, 1974

Mrs. Josephine Rossano Russo, 80, of 7711 Ruthven Road, the widow of Augustine 
Joseph Russo, died Wednesday in a hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. S.J. Annunziata of Norfolk and Mrs. A.M. 
Finegan of Virginia Beach and three sons, Philip L. Russo of Virginia Beach, 
Rocco L. Russo of Tampa, Fla. and Augustine J. Russo Jr. of Norfolk.
The Rosary will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8. A 
Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Church, Newport Avenue and Painter Street. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. The family will be at her home.

RUSSO, MRS. JOSEPHINE ROSSANO – In a Norfolk hospital, Wednesday, MRS. JOSEPHINE 
ROSSANO RUSSO, widow of Augustine Joseph Russo and the daughter of the late 
Rocco and Mrs. Marie Antoinette Rossano, in the 80th year of her age. The body 
will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, to Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church, Newport Avenue and Painter Street, for a requiem mass to be 
celebrated Friday at 10 o’clock. Burial, St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will be 
at 7711 Ruthven Road, Norfolk.
