MRS. ANNA PENNELLO RUSSO - 82, of 1230 N. Fairwater Drive, died Saturday in a 
Norfolk hospital. A native of Ceprano, province of Rome, Italy, she was the 
widow of Anthony Joseph Pennello. She was a retired 25-year civil service 
employee of the Naval Air Station and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Oscar S. Smith, Mrs. John B. 
Jenkins, III, of Norfolk, Mrs. Ward Boston, Jr., of Coronado, Calif., a son, 
Julian R. Pennello, of Norfolk, a sister, Mrs. Leroy C. Richey, of Virginia 
Beach, a brother, Tony R. Williams, of Norfolk, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-
grandchildren. A joyful mass of the resurrection will be offered at 10:00 a.m. 
Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk. The family will be in her residence.
