Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 5, 1952

James Stephen Ryan, 84, son of Mathew and Mrs. Mary Mulholland Ryan, died at a 
Norfolk hospital yesterday at 3:50 a.m. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk , 
residing at 1603 Dennis Avenue at the time of his death.
Surviving him are one sister, Mrs. Robert J. Carty, of Norfolk and several 
nieces and nephews.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the 
King Catholic Church, of which he was a member, for services tomorrow at 9 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the 
funeral apartments tonight at 9 o'clock.
