Virginian-Pilot December 25, 1903

The venerable Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Ryan, relict of the late Captain James C. Ryan, 
passed away at her home, No. 66 Bermuda Street, Wednesday evening at the 
advanced age of 83 years. The deceased had been a resident of Norfolk for many 
years and was well known and most highly esteemed for her many womanly traits 
and Christian virtues. She was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and 
deeply interested in all its enterprises. The funeral will be held from the 
church at 10 o'clock Saturday morning.

RYAN – At the residence, No. 66 Bermuda street, on Wednesday, December 23, 1903, 
at 4:45 p.m., Mrs. ANNE ELIZA RYAN, widow of the late Capt. James C. Ryan, in 
the 83rd year of her age.
Funeral services from St. Mary’s Catholic Church SATURDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. 
Kindly omit flowers.
