Virginian Pilot February 3, 1904

Mr. Matthew V. Ryan, son of Mrs. Mary and the late Matthew Ryan, died at St. 
Vincent's Hospital at 2 a.m. yesterday from the effects of a fall on the ice-
coated pavement several days ago, which produced congestion of the brain. He is 
survived by three brothers, Michael, William P and James Ryan and one sister, 
Mrs. Robert J. Carty.  The deceased had never been married and was in the 31st 
year of his age. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks. The funeral will be held 
from St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10 o'clock a.m. Thursday.

Funeral services from St. Mary’s Catholic Church THIS (Thursday) MORNING at 10 
o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
