Virginian-Pilot April 19, 1906
Arriving in this country on Friday, April 13, from Sweden, Fitz Hjalmar 
Rydholm, a sailor, 18 years old, died yesterday at St. Vincent's hospital.

Dr. W. J. Adams conducted a post-mortem examination. The cause of the young 
seaman's death was due to cerebrum spinal meningitis.

Rydholm landed at Ellis Island, N.Y., and passed the examination of the 
immigration agents. He signed as a seaman on an Old Dominion liner and on  his 
first trip down the coast became ill. He was taken to the marine ward at the 
hospital, where he died yesterday.
