Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday, May 16,1942
Miner Ryles, 69, of 1316 Reservoir Avenue, one of the oldest deacons of New
Calvary Baptist Church, died at his home May 8.  Then funeral was  held at New
Calvary, May 12.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with the Morning Glory Funeral
Home directing.

The bereaved family of the late Mr. Miner Ryles wish to thank their many friends
and children for the kindness shown them during the illness and death of their
husband and father.
