Norfolk Virginian, December 18, 1865
The Funeral of Lieut. John F. Sale and Private A. David McCarrick took place 
at St. Mary's Church yesterday morning. Their remains were followed by a large 
concourse of friends to the Catholic cemetery.

Additional Comments:
December 16th, the remains of Lieut. John F. Sale, of the Norfolk Juniors, 
(wounded at Hatcher's Run, and died February 12th)--also the remains of 
private A. David McCarrick, of the N. L. A. Blues (died in Petersburg, August 
26th, 1864, from disease contracted in the army) reached this city. Their 
funerals took place from St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sunday, December 17th. p.
