Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. B.E. Monroe, of Norfolk, two sons, J. Bowman Sale, Jr., of Rockledge, Fla., and W. Whidbee Sale of Bassett; three sisters, Mrs. W.W. Stephenson, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. John Davis, of Kingsport, Tenn., and Mrs. E.L. Whitehurst, of Norfolk; a brother S.O. Sale of Bel Air, Md.; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sale was a native of Roanoke and had lived in Norfolk for more than 40 years. He resided at 3420 Llewellyn Avenue, Apartment 4C. Mr. Sale was a member of Park Place Methodist Church and Corinthian Lodge No. 266, A.F. & A.M. The body will be taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
