He was a native of this city and had made his home in this section practically all his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S.E. and Mrs. Carry Mullen Salyer and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Trannie Nuckols Salyer; two children, Miss Margaret Salyer, Newport News, and one son, Harry Salyer, Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. E.H. Austin, Norfolk, and one brother, S.E. Salyer, Philadelphia. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Berkley; Richmond Lodge No. 10, A.F. and A.M. and American Legion Post No. 36, and served in the World War. The body will arrive this morning at 7:30 o'clock and will be taken to the funeral home of Graham & Sykes, 124 East Berkley avenue, pending funeral arrangements.
