Norfolk Landmark March 18, 1882

SAMMONS - At the Hospital of St. Vincent de Paul, Friday, March 17th 1882, at 10 
o'clock a.m., after a long and painful illness, which he bore with Christian 
fortitude and resignation, Mr. KEELING SAMMONS in the 72d year of his age.
Funeral will take place at his late residence on Lambert's Point, SUNDAY, 19th 
instant, at 3 o'clock p.m. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to 
attend.

Mr. Keeling Sammons, an old and highly respected citizen of Norfolk County, who 
had an arm amputated at the Hospital of St. Vincent De Paul a short time ago, 
since which time he has been gradually failing, died at that institution 
yesterday morning, in the 72d year of his age.
