Virginian Pilot April 12, 1970

Mrs. Winnie Samuel of 2709 Gosnold Ave. died Saturday in her home.
A native of Pinewood, S.C., she was the widow of Wash Samuel.
She was a member of St. Paul AME Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Pressley of Norfolk, two grandchildren 
and a great-grandchild.
The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home

Norfolk - A funeral rite was conducted Thursday, April 16, at 2:30 p.m. for Mrs. 
Winnie Samuels of 2709 Gosnold avenue. The Rev. Lawrence Craig officiated at the 
rite, held at St. Paul AME Church. Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery with 
Hale Funeral Home handling the arrangements.

A native of Pinewood SC, she was the widow of Wash Samuels and was a member of 
St. Paul Church.

Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive.
