Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 20, 1935

Thomas M. Sanderlin, aged 78, son of Thomas and Sarah Mercer Sanderlin, died 
at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:27 o'clock.  Mr. Sanderlin was a 
native of Moyock N.C. and for many years a resident of Norfolk.  Surviving him 
are two sons, Thomas H. and Rodney D. Sanderlin; four grandchildren, Evely, 
Peggy, Millard and Charles Sanderlin and a sister, Mrs. K. Wood, of Fentress.
Services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East 
Freemason Street, Monday at 12 o'clock noon, with the Rev. Henry W. Tiffany, 
D.D., pastor of the Park Place Baptist Church, of which Mr. Sanderlin was a 
member, officiating.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
