Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 28, 1939

Enoch Gregory Sanderlin, aged 66, died at the residence, 214 Atlans avenue, 
last night at 6:45 o'clock, after a long illness. He is survived by five 
daughters, Miss Lille Sanderlin, of Norfolk; Mrs. E.L. Ewing, of San Diego, 
Cal.; Mrs. Pearl Maston, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; Mrs. A.J. Penello, of 
Norfolk and Mrs. N.D. Simpson, of Moyock, N.D.; two sons, Enoch Sanderlin, 
of Elizabeth City and Howard Sanderlin, of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. 
S.F. Toxey and Mrs. W.T. Grape, both of Norfolk and Mrs. Thomas Godfrey, of 
Shiloh, N.C.; a half brother, John Stevens, of Shiloh and seven 
grandchildren. Mr. Sanderlin was a native of Shiloh and had been a resident 
of Norfolk for the past year and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
