Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 22, 1952

Mrs. Elizabeth Susan Sanderlin, 63, wife of Thomas C. Sanderlin and daughter of 
Mrs. Katherine Eanes and the late Oscar O. Griffin, died yesterday at 2:20 a.m. 
at a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Sanderlin was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 928 Duke Street 
at the time of her death.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. E.A. 
Knewstep, of Norfolk; four sons, Thomas V. Sanderlin, of Norfolk, Calvin 
Sanderlin, of Coral Gables, Fla., and Edward and Adolphus Sanderlin, of Norfolk; 
one sister, Mrs. Cora Lee O'Brien, of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Apartments tomorrow at 2 p.m. by 
the Rev. W.W. Williford, secretary of the Virginia Transit Company YMCA. Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
