A funeral service was held Sunday for Ritt Sanders, 72, at New Hope 
Congregational Christian Church.  The retired South Norfolk city employee died 
May 23 at his home,  900 Walker avenue, after a long illness.

Mr. Sanders, a native of South Carolina, was the son of Alfred and Mrs. Jane 
Sanders and the widower of Mrs. Rosa Sanders.

Survivors are a daughter, Miss Mary Sanders, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mittie 
Wilson, both of Norfolk, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.



Fitchetts Funeral Home was in charge of services with interment in Mt. Olive 
Cemetery.  The Rev. Wilson Washington conducted the rites.
