Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Sanders, 38, of 403 E. Olney road, was
held Sunday in Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. J. W. Matthews officiating.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.

A Richmond native, she was a daughter of Sam Singletary and Mrs. Gardenia
Singletary and widow of Claude J. Sanders. She died July 21 in a hospital after
a long illness.

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Gardenia Singletary and Miss Claudia
Sanders of Norfolk; a brother, Jerome Singletary of Chesapeake; and two
grandchildren.
