Norfolk - Charlie C. Sanford of 824 Marshall avenue died in a hospital after a 
short illness.

A native of Raleigh, NC, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Thelma D. Sanford 
and a son of the late Charlie and Mrs. Hattie Sanford.

He worked for Old Dominion Tobacco Co., Inc., and was a member of Shiloh Baptist 
Church.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Maude S. Woodley of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held in Shiloh Baptist Church by Dr. John H. Foster.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
