The Virginian Pilot Saturday September 11, 1965
Gertie S. Sanford, 88, of 1207 Seaboard Ave., died Friday at 5 p.m. in his home.

A native of Berkley, he was a son of George E. and Mrs. Sarah Spillings Sanford.

He was a retired Barnes Box Co. engineer.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sadie L. Jones of Chesapeake.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Francis A. Gay Funeral 
Home by the Rev. James Romley and the Rev. O. D. Poythress. Burial will be in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
