Joseph A. Sansone Jr., 74, a retired civil service employee, died Oct. 19, 1990, 
in a hospital.

Mr. Sansone, a Norfolk native, had retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility. He 
was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church; 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus 
367; Norfolk Elks Club 38, B.P.O.E.; Norfolk Moose Lodge 39; and Order of the 
Pilgrim.

Survivors include his wife, Olivia Sansone; a daughter, Juanita S. Thrift of 
Norfolk; and two sons, Joseph A. Sansone III, and John W. Sansone, both of 
Virginia Beach.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Christ the 
King Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph P. Lehman. Burial with military honors 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday 
in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
